Job Title: Health & Safety / Fire Risk Consultant.
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Salary / Benefits: 30k - 50k + Benefits + Company Vehicle.


Our client is a Yorkshire based Health and Safety company who, due to continued success and growth, is now seeking to take on a Health & Safety / Fire Risk Consultant. This role would suit someone who is looking to join a professional and reputable company where you will be working independently and in line with strict deadlines, carrying out both Health and Safety and Fire Risk Assessments in line with clients' requirements. You will be covering long-standing Commercial, Healthcare, Educational, Residential, and Leisure sites.


Experience & Qualifications:

  1. Will have a strong and extensive background working within the Health and Safety / Fire Risk Industry.
  2. Will ideally hold industry relevant Health and Safety qualification as well as a recognised Fire Risk qualification e.g. NEBOSH Fire Certificate or FPA Fire Risk Assessment Competency.
  3. In-depth, and up to date knowledge of PAS79 / relevant Health and Safety guidelines.
  4. Able to organise workload based on client and company needs, ensuring to allocate time for report writing.
  5. Liaising with clients, providing excellent consultancy advice and support.

The Role:

  1. Undertaking Fire compartmental surveys, Fire Risk and Health and Safety Assessments in line with client needs across Commercial, Healthcare, Educational, Residential, and Leisure sites.
  2. Reviewing and amending clients' Health and Safety / Fire Risk policies on a regular basis.
  3. Liaising with clients and highlighting issues identified during assessments, ensuring to rectify in a timely manner.
  4. Providing clients with excellent technical support and advice when required.
  5. Ensuring all work is carried out in line with PAS79 guidelines.
  6. Providing in-depth Health and Safety / Fire Risk training courses.
  7. Ensuring to follow safe working practices.
  8. Creating site-specific fire safety management plans, ensuring clients implement any actions required.
  9. Carrying out in-depth investigations when required.
  10. Maintaining the company's FIRAS and BASFE fire industry accreditation.
  11. Providing continuous support on the delivery and development of passive fire protection and firestopping, including carrying out surveys, creating work schedules, and providing clients with competitive quotes.
