Job Title: Health & Safety / Fire Risk Consultant
Location: Coventry, West Midlands
Salary/Benefits: £35k - £50k + Training & Benefits

We are recruiting for a professional and driven Health & Safety / Fire Risk Consultant in the Midlands region, to join a leading name within the Compliance / Health & Safety industry. The company has a busy and rapidly growing portfolio of clients, ranging from Commercial, Manufacturing and Public Sector. The role will involve an element of travel, in line with client requirements, so applicants must have an adaptable and hardworking attitude. Salaries and benefits are excellent, and include: company vehicle use and a company pension scheme.

Ideally, the applicant will be based in: Coventry, Rugby, Daventry, Royal Leamington Spa, Northampton, Towcester, Kettering, Corby, Wigston, Leicester, Solihull, Nuneaton, Redditch, Worcester, Bromsgrove, Birmingham, Stourbridge, Melton Mowbray, Derby, Nottingham, Stoke-on-Trent, Droitwich Spa, Kidderminster, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Tamworth, Stafford, Cannock, Coalville, Loughborough, Banbury, Towcester, Wellingborough.

Experience / Qualifications:

  1. Will have a successful track record working as a Health & Safety / Fire Risk Consultant for a reputable consultancy
  2. Must hold qualifications such as: NEBOSH General, Nebosh Fire, Fire Certificate
  3. It would be beneficial to hold the CMIOSH and / or TECHIosh
  4. Well-versed in industry guidelines and any regular changes
  5. Happy to travel when required
  6. Excellent literacy and IT proficiency
  7. Strong experience liaising directly with clients

The Role:
  1. Undertaking thorough and bespoke health & safety / fire risk assessments for a busy portfolio of client sites
  2. Travelling to client sites to introduce themselves and conduct appointments in a professional manner
  3. Discussing report findings and making recommendations
  4. Reviewing existing emergency and evacuation plans in order to make improvements
  5. Producing detailed written reports and sending onto clients
  6. Being a key point of contact for clients, to answer technical queries and to provide troubleshooting support
  7. Conducting training courses for clients
  8. Maintaining excellent rapport and professional relationships with clients
