Job description

Are you a safety-driven professional with a passion for ensuring high health, safety, environmental, and quality standards? Do you thrive in a leadership role, managing compliance, risk assessments, and continuous improvement? If so, we want you on our team!

Your Role & Key Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with local, EU, and DP World safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement mitigation measures.
  • Oversee incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage and monitor contractor safety performance, ensuring compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Lead the Business Continuity Plan (BCP), ensuring regular updates and testing to maintain operational resilience.
  • Provide HSE reports and performance data to senior management, tracking key safety metrics and compliance levels.

Quality Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain and oversee ISO certifications (14001 for Environment, 45001 for Occupational Health & Safety, and 9001 for Quality Management).
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to improve operational safety and efficiency.
  • Drive process improvements and identify opportunities to enhance HSE and quality performance.
  • Ensure all employees receive training on structured safety procedures, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

  • Work closely with operations, engineering, and security teams to ensure a cohesive approach to HSE compliance.
  • Act as a key advisor to the CEO and Senior Management Team on all HSE and quality-related matters.
  • Engage with local authorities, regulators, and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory alignment.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by leading awareness campaigns, training sessions, and best practice initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (Degree in HSE, Environmental Science, or related field preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in port operations, logistics, or the energy sector is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management systems.
