These vacancies are for contracted hours full or part time where available (bank applications need not apply).

NCIC is excited to announce a variety of vacancies for Health Care Assistants needed across many of our wards/departments at the West Cumberland Infirmary. Full time and part time hours available, please specify on application which you would prefer.

A single interview date will be considered and the date released as soon as it is confirmed. In order to be considered you will need to be available on this day and also for training. If you are unable to commit to this date then unfortunately alternative dates will not be available. Interviews will be focused on our values of kindness, respect, collaboration and ambition.

If successful you will be allocated to a department (preferences considered but not guaranteed).

Qualifications
  • National Care Certificate or commitment to complete as part of induction process.
  • NVQ 2 in care (willingness to complete within one year of start date) or equivalent experience.
Experience
  • Work in customer focused / caring environment.
  • Use of a computer.
  • Experience of providing care in a professional or personal setting.
Knowledge
  • Ability to maintain and improve knowledge, skills and competence to ensure high standards of patient care.
  • Understanding about how to carry out routine elements of assessment to enhance the patient/client journey, following an initial assessment by a registered practitioner or willingness to learn.
