Job description

PE Global are an approved supplier to the NHS via the Health Trust Europe Framework. We are pleased to be working with a mental health hospital based in Shrewsbury to support their temporary agency requirements.

The role:

Are you a caring and compassionate Heath Care Assistant looking for additional shifts, days, nights or weekends? You will be working within a mental health/learning disability hospital in the region who are looking for HCAs to pick up ad-hoc shifts to support their in-patient wards.

You must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, be punctual, reliable, highly motivated, and able to work on your own initiative, be a good team worker and be committed to providing high standards of care.

Main Duties:

  1. To provide support and spend therapeutic time with an allocated group of service users.
  2. To promote service users' wellbeing and recovery through the delivery of high quality, outcome measured care and evidence based interventions.
  3. To assist Registered Professionals in the implementation and evaluation of individualised care.

What you'll need:

  1. A minimum of 6 months paid experience as a mental health HCA within a clinical setting.
  2. MAPA - restraint training is essential for this service.
  3. Enhanced DBS.
  4. Occupational health clearance.
