Job description

To provide and maintain excellent standards of patient care.

To provide administrative and clerical support to the Imaging department.

To be flexible in providing cover for any imaging areas as per the service requirement.

To provide support to the multi-disciplinary teams within Imaging.

To play a role in the continuous development of the Trust as a member of the Radiology team and as a potential member of a range of Trust quality/process improvement project groups.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  1. Communication
    • Demonstrate politeness, courtesy and sensitivity in dealing with patients, relatives and visitors, maintain good customer relations.
    • Carry out assigned clerical tasks as directed by the supervisor.
    • Report untoward incidents and any other relevant information to the supervisor immediately.
    • Participate fully as a team member, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues.
  2. Patient/customer care (both direct and indirect)
    • Provide excellent standards of patient care, observations, preparing equipment and patients for treatment.
  3. Carry out daily checks on appropriate equipment.
  4. Assist in the restocking and ordering of supplies.
  5. Resource management

    To work together with the Imaging teams to ensure effective use of resources.

  6. To abide by the Trust’s core behaviors for staff and all other Trust policies.
  7. People management
    • Participate in the Trust’s appraisal and personal development plan /any necessary training as required.
  8. Information management
    • Use relevant IT systems in the support of patient care.
