Job description

Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a band 3 Health Care Assistant to join the Nursing and Conditions service within the Treatment Rooms. The post holder will work across Hull and East Riding and work a across 7 days a week 08:00-1800hrs.

The role will involve working independently across various treatment rooms to deliver care to patients under the guidance of the registered nurses.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will have a period of probation to work through the clinical skills passport and this will require a period of time to complete shadow shifts.

You must be flexible, a good team worker, used to working under pressure, have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with patients, carers and other members of the MDT. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate IT literacy and this post requires that you have the ability to travel between locations to carry out your work and to attend training and visits; daily access to transport is therefore essential.

Qualifications Essential
  • Level 3 or equivalent level of experience in Health & Social Care
  • Hold Care Certificate or willingness to complete within the induction period

Knowledge & Experience Essential
  • Experience of working in a health care environment
  • Experience of prioritising own work load
  • Good understanding of basic IT skills
