My Client, a large global financial services brand, is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Specialist on an initial 6-month contract basis. The role is inside IR35, and you can work remotely, but some office work and travel will be required. Must speak French.
Responsibilities:
Manage and deliver on all legal requirements and set goals from the Global Workplace Safety Manager and Director within France, along with supporting and managing projects in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Fluency in French is required; knowledge of Dutch is a plus but not mandatory.
Build strong working relationships with colleagues, demonstrating a can-do attitude. This is not a sit-behind-a-laptop role.
Collaborate with Country Managers, Head of CEG, medical, fire/security team, facilities team, and GWS colleagues.
Requirements within the first 6 months:
Produce a Health & Safety policy and management system for France and work with key stakeholders to implement it.
Ensure any outstanding mandatory training is completed, and follow up with colleagues/leaders to ensure actions are addressed.
Update the intranet site and promote safety initiatives within the market, including safety animations.
Engage with key stakeholders.
Attend the H&S committee meeting and work with the Country Manager to ensure their engagement.
Complete the Safety Prevention Plan and Document Unique (occupational risk assessment).
After that, there will be requirements to support the Safety Prevention Officer in delivering similar requirements in Benelux.
