Health and Safety Officer - Renewables

Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a UK based renewable energy company who specializes in the development, construction, and operation of utility scale solar projects, to recruit a Health and Safety Officer for their Ireland site.

The strategically important project manager role comes with a salary of €45,000- €55,000 and offers flexible working.

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you will:

1. Complete site inspections, as well as audits.
2. Ensure site staff comply with company safety protocols.
3. Review RAMS for sub-contractors.
4. Support the Health and Safety Manager with general tasks.
5. Update and maintain the company safety management system.
6. Identify training needs.
7. Deliver health and safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training.
8. Organize safety meetings.
9. Assist with accident and incident investigations.
10. Submit weekly reports.

Professional Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

1. Level 3 EHS Qualification.
2. 5 years experience in a similar role.
3. Construction experience (desirable).

Personal Skills

The Health and Safety Officer role would suit someone who is:

1. Excellent in communication skills, both written and verbal.
2. Exceptional in organization.
3. Detail-oriented.
