Health and Safety Officer
Our client, a leading international bank based in London, is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join their growing team on a full-time permanent basis, offering a salary of up to £32,000 per annum. This is a full office-based position in their London branch.
What will you be doing?
As the Health and Safety Officer, your main responsibility will be to ensure that the bank is fully compliant with UK occupational Health and Safety standards and provide a healthy environment for staff, customers, contractors, and visitors. You will maintain all statutory requirements throughout the bank. Your duties will include:
- Developing fire and other emergency plans for the bank.
- Carrying out accident and incident investigations and reporting under RIDDOR legislation.
- Ensuring health and safety information is displayed at all bank locations.
- Conducting branch visits.
- Coordinating the risk assessment programme and managing high-risk activities using a permit-to-work system.
- Chairing and organizing consultation meetings with employees.
- Performing other day-to-day duties as required.
What skills will you have?You will have between 3 - 5 years of UK working experience. You will possess an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification and have achieved a Master's degree. You will have a keen eye for detail, with excellent communication skills, and be able to communicate with staff at all levels. You will be approachable, trustworthy, and have excellent knowledge in your field.
