Are you an experienced Health and Safety professional with a background in Food or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing?

My client is looking for an experienced, NEBOSH qualified Health and Safety Leader to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role would most suit someone with a strong food manufacturing background, with experience working within high-risk environments with a range of machinery.

You will be tasked with driving positive change to how H&S processes are received internally to ensure adherence to all relevant legislation, and practical application of a ‘Safety First’ culture.

Duties include:

  • Acting as a ‘hands on’ leader, assessing current processes and implementing new systems where necessary, collaborating with external parties to ensure policies align with regulations.
  • Risk Management: conducting regular risk assessments, including internal and external audits, implementing preventative measures and ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Resource Management: Oversee the budget and ensure all training programs are in place.
  • Incident investigation and reporting: thorough accident and near miss investigations, accurately reporting and putting in place corrective measures.
  • Carrying out internal audits and reporting on the outcome.
  • Emergency management: developing and implementing emergency response plans in a high-risk environment.
  • Responsible for ensuring processes and procedures are understood and followed by developing exceptional relationships with internal parties.

To be considered for this Health and Safety Leader role you will have:

  • Experience in Health and Safety within Food or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing – this is essential.
  • Achieved the NEBOSH/IOSH general certificate (Level 3) as a minimum.
  • Knowledge and experience of management systems.
  • A meticulous attention to detail with first-class communication and organisation skills.
  • Strong IT skills, with proficiency using MS Office.
  • A solid working history demonstrating loyalty and commitment to an employer.
  • A proven track record, with relevant examples of where you can demonstrate the above competencies.
  • A full driving license.

What’s in it for you?!

  • Working for an award-winning business with a focus on their culture.
  • A generous benefits package.
  • Competitive salary DOE.
  • Working with a great team who support each other!
  • State-of-the-art facilities.

Interviews will be held immediately – this company is looking to move quickly for the right Health and Safety Leader!

Please note, only candidates with the qualifications, skills and experience listed and a background in relevant manufacturing environments can be considered.
