Health and Safety Manager

As Health and Safety Manager, you will be embedded in a major section of the HS2 route, focusing on large-scale civil structures including bridges, viaducts, cut-and-cover tunnels, and associated earthworks. You'll work closely with construction teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to embed a proactive safety culture on site and ensure compliance with CDM regulations, company procedures, and HS2 standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead on H&S planning and strategy across complex structures packages
2. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
3. Support the implementation of health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives
4. Ensure compliance with all statutory and HS2-specific safety requirements
5. Provide leadership and guidance to site teams and subcontractors
6. Contribute to incident investigations and drive continual improvement
7. Liaise with the Principal Contractor, HS2 Ltd, and regulatory bodies

Requirements:

1. NEBOSH Diploma
2. Proven Health and Safety Managerial experience
3. Strong background in structures
