Salary: £48k - £55k plus £4800 company car allowance
A local Steel Fabrication and Construction company are looking for a Hands-on Health and Safety Manager to join their team.
Role Overview:
The position will be split role with 70% being based in the factory and 30% being based on construction projects overseeing the installation of Steel Frames.
Health and Safety Manager - Job Role in the Factory:
Review and update the companies HSE Policies and Procedures
Manage the companies ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 Accreditation
Make sure the correct PPE is being worn at all times
Undertake accident investigations
Provide HSE training and Inductions
Conduct Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Health and Safety Manager - Job Role on Site: Travel to projects across the North East conducting the following:
Site Audits
Site Inspections
Toolbox Talks
Control of contractors
Making sure the correct PPE is being used
Conducting Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Accident Investigations
Health and Safety Manager - Person Requirements:
The ideal candidate must come from the Manufacturing & Construction Industry as a Health and Safety Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualifications or experience:
Hold a minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent in Health and Safety
Member of IOSH
Experienced in managing ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 internal audits
Must have both Manufacturing and on-site construction management experience
