Health and Safety Manager
Location: Hull
Salary: £45,000–£50,000 DOE + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits Package

Key Responsibilities
As the Health and Safety Manager, you will:
- Ensure the organisation complies with all Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective Health & Safety policies and procedures, including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Provide practical training and education to employees, coordinating with external providers where necessary.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and driving corrective action.
- Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with managers to integrate safety processes into everyday operations.
- Develop and monitor Health & Safety performance metrics and present findings to senior stakeholders, including board-level reporting.
- Support accreditation processes such as ISO, ensuring compliance and assisting with audits.
- Stay informed about industry trends and legislation to maintain best practices.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
Essential Skills:
- A recognised Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
- Demonstrable experience in a Health & Safety role within the logistics, warehousing, ports/shipping, manufacturing or transport sectors.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Familiarity with ISO accreditation processes and managing audits.
