Sustainable Futures Group (SFG) is delighted to be partnering with a leading healthcare provider in South East London who are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join their dedicated team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the HSE strategy and culture within a renowned organisation known for its pioneering approach to patient care.

With a significant focus on enhancing safety standards and environmental impact monitoring, this role is integral to ensuring the safety and well-being of both staff and patients.

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Leading and coordinating Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across all healthcare and charity shop locations
  2. Managing policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices
  3. Conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments, promoting a proactive safety culture
  4. Offering guidance and advice on Health & Safety matters
  5. Enhancing the environmental monitoring process, reporting on impacts, and implementing strategies to reduce environmental risks
  6. Taking ownership of the Health & Safety Committee and Green Group content, working collaboratively to promote a culture of safety and sustainability

What We're Looking For:

  1. A relevant Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent)
  2. IOSH membership (Ideally Cert IOSH or Tech IOSH as a minimum)
  3. Proven experience in managing Health & Safety within a Healthcare, Charity, Social Housing or similar environment
  4. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  5. A proactive and pragmatic approach to Health and Safety management, balancing patient-centred care with compliance
  6. Familiarity with environmental monitoring and reporting (desirable but not essential)
