Are you ready for a step up with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering impactful infrastructure projects across the UK?

Irwin and Colton has been engaged by a high-profile construction contractor with a turnover of circa £250 million to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. The company is currently engaged on a broad range of major construction and infrastructure projects and the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects across the Midlands.

Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Manager will include:

• Engaging across the sites, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Conducting training, toolbox talks, inductions, and investigating incidents where required.
• Reviewing the production of risk assessments and method statements and answering any health and safety related queries.
• Undertaking audits and inspections of the sites, identifying areas for improvement, and reporting on the findings.

The successful Health and Safety Manager candidate will have:

• Proven experience in a similar role from a civil engineering background.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate and ideally relevant membership of IOSH.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people.
• Drive and enthusiasm with the ability to promote a positive Health and Safety culture.
