This exciting opportunity offers homeworking with national travel as business requires.

As a Health and Safety Executive for Sodexo Live!, you will play a vital leadership role in our Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSQE) strategy. You will lead initiatives in risk management, business continuity, food safety, and employee wellbeing across the business. You will provide expert guidance to senior leadership and engage with regional and global forums to promote best practices.

Your primary responsibility will be to drive the implementation of safety initiatives and continuously improve our safety culture. You will ensure the business adheres to high standards, manage risks effectively, and work alongside leaders to create safer working environments across our operations.

What you'll do:

1. Provide expert guidance on HSQE, food safety, fire safety, and employee wellbeing, while supporting senior management in creating and implementing effective standard operating processes.
2. Lead the development and execution of HSQE strategies to align with business objectives and drive a positive safety culture across the segment.
3. Act as a subject matter expert in risk management and business continuity, ensuring risk registers are maintained and business continuity plans are regularly tested and updated.
4. Champion and embed a Zero Harm Mindset throughout the organisation, leading initiatives to promote positive safety behaviours and actively engaging with teams at all levels.
5. Provide oversight for incident investigations, ensuring thorough reporting and implementing corrective actions to improve safety performance.
6. Drive continuous improvements in safety metrics, with a focus on reducing the Lost Time Injury Rate (LTIR) and meeting safety targets.
7. Maintain high standards of food safety maturity, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, and continuously improve food safety practices across the business.

What you bring:

Essential Qualifications:

1. NEBOSH General Certificate
2. Food Safety Level 4

Desirable:

1. NEBOSH Diploma
2. HACCP Level 4

Skills and Competencies:

1. Experience in a health and safety role, preferably within a multi-site organisation.
2. Strong knowledge of HSQE regulations, standards, and best practices.
3. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to influence and engage senior executives and cross-functional teams.
5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
6. Experience with risk management and business continuity planning.
7. Strong communication and presentation skills.
8. Risk assessment and management.
9. Incident management and investigation.
10. Ability to promote a positive safety culture in an engaging manner.
