Position: Health and Safety Coordinator

Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire

Salary: GBP 35,000

Working Hours: Monday - Friday Days

Our client is a leading global packaging manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality, which is second to none and industry-leading standards. They are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to lead the site strategy.

Role And Responsibilities

• Lead and head up all things associated with health and safety for site
• Provide training, guidance, advice, and environmental support
• Promote a positive outlook on all things Health and Safety, with a continuous improvement culture
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation: ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
• Influence and coach departmental leaders on best practice and legislation updates
• Health and safety inspections, audits, training plans, and toolbox talks
• Liaise with external bodies, regulators, and agencies: environmental, H and S, local authorities

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

• Must be a positive influencer, promoting continuous improvement culture
• At least 5 years experience in a similar health and safety role
• NEBOSH Certificate
• IOSH Health and Safety
• Must be a confident character
• Ideally have worked in manufacturing
• Previously have led in-house training, conducted risk assessments, audits, inspections
• Knowledge of Environmental Compliance, UK HS and E legislations
• Worked to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
• Experienced with MS Office and ERP systems
