Job Description

A Health and Safety Advisor is required to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and policies within an industrial environment. The role involves conducting risk assessments, offering training, and creating safety strategies.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive Health and Safety culture within the organisation.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
• Develop, implement, and review health and safety policies and procedures.
• Provide advice and guidance on health and safety matters to all staff.
• Lead investigations into any accidents or incidents.
• Deliver health and safety training to staff.
• Maintain records of inspection findings and produce reports suggesting improvements.
• Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation.

Profile
A Successful Health And Safety Advisor Should Have:

• Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety, such as NEBOSH or equivalent.
• Experience within the Industrial / Manufacturing sector.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deliver engaging training sessions.
• Proficient in risk assessments and accident investigation procedures.
