Health and Safety Advisor

Are you looking to take the next step in your career with a leader in specialised structural and civil engineering? Interested in working with an organisation which has high standards and performance across health and safety?

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a specialist contractor, who is looking for a Health and Safety Advisor. The role will cover specialised structural and civil engineering works across multiple sites, covering regions of Surrey and Sussex. The organisation has an extensive track record of successful operation in the UK, and this is an excellent opportunity to join the expanding health and safety team.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include:

  • Visiting site, assessing health and safety performance and implementing an effective audit plan
  • Working with the wider health and safety team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Investigating accidents and incidents, identifying the root cause, and carrying out toolbox talks and training where required

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role ideally within civil or structural engineering
  • NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent)
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulations

The position will include travel; therefore, a valid UK driving licence is required.
