Health And Safety Advisor

Job Description

Future Build Recruitment are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join a large civil engineering and utilities contractor. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are maintained across all projects. You will work closely with site teams, project managers, and stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
2. Identify potential hazards and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
3. Develop and deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks to site personnel.
4. Support the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
5. Monitor and report on health and safety performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
6. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, ensuring accurate reporting and implementation of preventative measures.

Requirements:

1. NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification in Health and Safety (essential).
2. Proven experience in a similar role within the construction or civil engineering sector.
3. Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry standards.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams.
5. Proactive and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
6. Full UK driving licence.
