Shirley Parsons have exclusively partnered with a leading veterinary services provider. Our client is looking to hire a Health and Safety Advisor to join their UK team. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you'll be instrumental in providing expert knowledge and guidance on health and safety practices. You will ensure the company complies with safety legislation, implement preventative measures, conduct risk assessments, and lead safety-related initiatives across multiple sites. This is a home-based position, with regular travel across the North East of England and Scotland.

The Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for:
  • Conducting Health and Safety support visits, investigations, and audits.
  • Reviewing and carrying out risk assessments, considering risk reduction strategies.
  • Assisting in the development of internal safety policies and strategies.
  • Leading training programs for employees on health and safety.
  • Providing support and advice on health and safety issues across all levels of staff.
The Health and Safety Advisor will have:
  • A NEBOSH/equivalent Certificate in Health and Safety.
  • Previous experience in a multi-site health and safety role.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others.
