We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HSEQ Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards across our operations, and we envisage this person being site-based 3 to 4 days per week with 1 day based at the site office in Stratford. This position requires a proactive individual who is committed to fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organisation.
Responsibilities
Implement and maintain HSEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
Perform root cause analysis on incidents and near misses, providing actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Prepare detailed reports on HSEQ performance, including findings from audits and inspections, ensuring clear communication of results to management.
Deliver training sessions on health, safety, environmental practices and quality assurance to staff at all levels.
Work as part of a team to deal with HSEQ-related queries within the organisation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and quality throughout the organisation.
Experience
At least 1 year UK-based experience in a similar HSEQ role within the construction, drainage or civils industries.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
A thorough understanding of relevant health, safety, environmental legislation and best practices is required.
Relevant qualifications in health and safety (such as NEBOSH or equivalent) would be advantageous but not mandatory.
