Our ReFood Anaerobic Digestion plants operate as integrated recycling units, processing a variety of food waste to produce renewable energy and ReGrow, a nutrient-rich fertiliser for local farms. The plants also recycle the food waste packaging, providing an environmentally sustainable solution for all waste producers looking for a safe method of diverting food waste from landfill.
The Position
Applications are invited for the position of Health and Safety Advisor based at our ReFood Dagenham site. This is a part-time permanent position, working 24 hours per week (3 days each week). Candidates seeking a full-time role working 40 hours per week may be considered.
As a Health and Safety Advisor, your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
The Person
You will be an experienced Health and Safety practitioner who has worked in a continuous process manufacturing environment. The role also requires qualification to a minimum level of NEBOSH National General Certificate, together with sound understanding of appropriate workplace legislation. Your experience will also include policy development, implementation, and maintenance of accreditations and liaison with external regulatory bodies.
The successful candidate will require excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed decision-making capability. As a flexible and driven initiative-taker, your enthusiasm and diligence will be key in influencing the behaviours in this continually developing business.
