Position: Headteacher (Full Time, Permanent)

Salary: Leadership Scale: L12 – L19

Following the retirement of our current Headteacher, the Governors at Exhall Junior School are now seeking to appoint a Headteacher with the passion, vision, energy and ambition to maximise the life opportunities for the students at our school.

Although rightly proud of our school and its successes, we are ambitious for it to be even better and therefore Governors have begun the process to academise and are awaiting approval from the DfE. In addition to leading the school on a day-to-day basis, the successful applicant will have the motivation, enthusiasm, resilience, and professionalism to take Exhall Junior School through the academisation process.

This is an exciting time to join Exhall Junior School, and the position presents a fantastic opportunity for a visionary and innovative leader who is ready to take on the challenge and opportunity to make a difference to the lives of our young people.

In addition to nurturing and caring for our students, governors value all staff ensuring wellbeing and professional development are priorities and our Headteacher will be expected to uphold and build upon these values.

Our Headteacher must be able to:

1. Demonstrate and model leadership excellence, resilience, drive and determination in an urban school with a high level of disadvantage; ensuring that the school operates in compliance with all statutory regulations including safeguarding and Health and Safety.
2. Have the ambition and aspiration for every young person in our school to reach their full potential.
3. Work collaboratively with all stakeholders and partners, to ensure an inclusive community, building and cementing positive relationships.
4. Ensure that teaching and learning is of the highest quality within a responsive curriculum model that meets individual needs and abilities.

This position would suit an experienced school leader or an already serving Headteacher.

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
