Job description

Salary up to £40,000 DOE plus a relocation allowance up to £2,500 and Welcome Bonus up to £2,000. Annual Parking Pass Included

We have an opportunity for a Head Nurse to join our team in East London. You will be leading the nursing team at the practice. Your day-to-day duties include ensuring the smooth running of the clinical day, overseeing and running of nurse consults, anaesthesia, supporting our Clinical Director and Practice Manager, and general support and development of the practice. You will help to grow and develop the nursing team and manage the rota including return to work and holiday requests.


You will see a varied SA caseload. We encourage growth and development both individually and collectively within our team. We would welcome CPD requests to fund certificates and other additional learning and skill development including schedule 3 procedures.


A rota that can work for you

The full-time position is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday shifts between 7:45 am - 7:30 pm with participation in a 1:4 Saturday morning rota. We are happy to discuss part-time hours and flexible working requests. There is no OOH or Sundays.


Our RCVS-accredited practice.

We are an RCVS-accredited SA practice in Leyton, East London (established in the 1970s). We are fully equipped with a laboratory suite, theatre, radiography, dental x-ray and 3 consulting rooms.


Our dedicated team

Our team comprises 4 qualified RVNs, 2 care assistants, 5 vets (including 2 part-time Clinical Directors), a reception team and our Practice Manager. Our team are dedicated to delivering the best possible general practice veterinary care and service to patients and clients. We have a visiting ultrasonographer and certificate-holder surgeon to help manage more complex cases.
