Due to the retirement of a much-respected Head Teacher, an opportunity has arisen for the Governing Body to appoint an experienced, inspirational, and enthusiastic individual to take up the post of Head Teacher.
Following a recent successful Ofsted inspection in April 2024, Governors are seeking a committed and dedicated Leader to take the school to the next level.
Keelman’s Way is at the heart of the local community and the school prides itself on a friendly and supportive atmosphere where children and staff are encouraged to be the best that they can be. Keelman’s Way is a school for children with severe learning disabilities (SLD) and profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) aged 2 to 19.
Interested candidates are invited to visit the school. Please contact Mrs P Selby to arrange visits via email: pselby@keelmanswayschool.co.uk
South Tyneside Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant pre-employment checks.
In line with the guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education, schools may carry out an online search as part of their due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
