Our client searching for a Transport General Manager is a leading organisation within the logistics distribution and supply chain sector.

Job Description

• Lead a team of logistics professionals, ensuring all transport operations run smoothly.
• Implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with all transport laws and regulations.
• Manage customer relations, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
• Oversee the planning and scheduling of transport routes.
• Manage and resolve any issues or delays in the transport process.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators to drive performance.
• Continually strive for improvement within the department and company-wide.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Transport General Manager should have:

• Prior experience in a leadership role within the transport and distribution industry.
• Strong knowledge of transport regulations and laws.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to implement and monitor key performance indicators.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Must be commutable to/across Staffordshire.
