Head of Trade Sales – Titan Travel (Saga Travel Group)

Salary £70,000 - £80,000 + up to 15% bonus and car allowance

Permanent

What’s the role?

As the Head of Trade Sales, you’ll be the driving force behind the distribution and sales of our extraordinary Titan Travel tour experiences through our travel agent partners. Your mission? To define and execute a bold trade strategy that accelerates our growth in the UK and beyond, including our expanding presence in Australia. Building on our strong reputation, you’ll work closely with our esteemed trade partners, crafting strategies and campaigns, and supporting their capacity to grow their business in support of our growth ambitions.

We’re hiring for a commercially savvy, sales-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll have a proven track record in trade sales, with at least 5 years of experience in similar roles within the travel industry. Your exceptional communication skills, coupled with your ability to identify and seize commercial opportunities, will be key to your success. We work in a hybrid way at Saga both at home and in the office. When you do come into the office, it’ll be with a real purpose in mind – to meet with your team, to work together, and of course to socialise and celebrate too! This team is geographically diverse across the UK so typically get together on a monthly basis in London. This role will also require some UK travel to meet our key partners and may also require some overnight stays within the UK for trade shows and conferences. You’d also need to be able to travel abroad when required for industry events, typically 2-4 times per year.

Main Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Define and execute Titan Travel’s trade distribution strategy, ensuring continuous and cost-effective growth across all markets.
Partnership Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with key agent partners, maximizing their potential to deliver outstanding results.
Team Leadership: Inspire and lead a team of key account managers, guiding them to achieve and exceed KPIs while fostering a culture of excellence.
Innovation & Growth: Continuously seek new sales opportunities, assess commercial viability, and introduce loyalty schemes that deepen agent engagement.
Operational Excellence: Collaborate with Product, Marketing and Operations teams to optimize trade marketing spend, streamline operations, and enhance the overall customer experience.
Performance Monitoring: Provide regular updates to the CCO and other stakeholders on key deliverables, ensuring transparency and accountability.

The Ideal CandidateWe’re looking for a dynamic and visionary Head of Trade Sales. The successful candidate will lead the way by maintaining and building on our existing great relationships with our key strategic partners whilst coming up with innovative sales initiatives to drive growth. You’ll manage and lead a talented team of 3 Key Account Managers and will work collaboratively with a strong team of peers across Saga Travel Group. This role provides a unique opportunity for the right candidate to be at the forefront of the exciting and diverse escorted touring sector, influencing the way our customers explore the world.
