About the role
As the Head of the School of Nursing and Public Health, you will play a pivotal role in leading one of our flagship schools. Ideally a professor with a distinguished track record in research and/or teaching and pedagogy, you will be an inspiring and visionary leader with a well-established professional network. Working collaboratively as a member of the Faculty Leadership Team, you will guide the School in pursuing an ambitious strategy for academic excellence, driving innovation, and extending our impact nationally and internationally. A core focus on diversity and inclusion is embedded within the School's activities, and you will champion this ethos as you shape the future of the School.

This is a high-profile appointment which presents a unique opportunity for a dynamic, motivated, and collaborative leader to help define the next phase of the School's journey. You will explore the potential to develop adult nursing apprenticeship with Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, enhance the School's academic reputation, and ensure the delivery of world-class educational and research outcomes. You will be a strong strategic thinker, with passion for research-informed nurse and public health education and interdisciplinary collaboration. The Faculty is committed to supporting its senior leaders in continuing to build their academic career and enhance their professional development.
