Job Description

1. Lead the design, development and innovation of warehousing solutions
2. Collaborate with various department heads to ensure seamless operations
3. Manage a team of logistics solutions designers, inspiring and guiding them towards achieving company objectives
4. Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes in existing customer warehouses to maximise efficiency and customer satisfaction
5. Oversee the creation of innovative warehouse solutions within complex supply chains
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
7. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
8. Prepare and present detailed reports on logistics performance and forecasts

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Solutions Design should have:

1. A strong academic background in Logistics, Business Management, or a related field
2. Significant experience in design, development and innovation of warehousing solutions
3. Proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire a team
4. Consultative approach to working with customers
5. Experience with warehouse modelling tools, AutoCAD, CLASS, SketchUp, etc.
6. Excellent data analysis and modelling abilities (cost modelling, labour/resource modelling)
7. CI, Lean, Six Sigma, MTM, MOST experience is advantageous
8. Experience managing a small team of warehouse solutions designers
9. Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to overcoming challenges
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
11. Thorough understanding of Transport & Distribution industry regulations
