Connect is seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Sales - B2B to lead our sales operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape strategy, inspire teams, and make a significant impact on our success in the spares and consumables market.

Reporting to the Sales & Service Director, you will be at the helm of our internal and external Sales force. You'll be instrumental in driving revenue and margin growth, fostering key customer relationships, and enhancing our market position.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop, own, and execute the go-to-market strategy for our B2B spares and consumables offering.
  • Team Inspiration & Management: Lead, coach, and motivate diverse internal and external sales teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on achieving targets and building strong customer relationships.
  • Driving Growth: Achieve and exceed ambitious B2B sales revenue and margin targets by driving new business acquisition and maximising retention and growth within our existing customer base.
  • Commercial Acumen: Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and implement effective pricing, purchasing, and marketing strategies tailored for the B2B market.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Analyse market trends and competitor activity; liaise closely with Performance Analytics and Operations to leverage data for measuring performance and driving targeted sales activity.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key customers, internal teams, and stakeholders across the business.
  • Collaboration: Operate as a key member of the Sales Management Team, contributing to the overall B2B sales objectives and strategy.
What You'll Bring:
  • Proven Leadership: A demonstrable track record of success in B2B sales management, with experience leading, coaching, and developing both internal (office-based) and external (field-based) sales teams.
  • Strategic Mindset: Experience in developing and executing successful sales strategies within a structured, KPI-driven environment.
  • Commercial Experience: Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles, margin management, and customer account development (new business and retention/growth).
  • Exceptional Skills: Outstanding leadership and motivational abilities, coupled with excellent negotiation, objection handling, closing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Customer Focus: Proficient listening skills with a natural ability to identify customer needs and opportunities.
