I am currently recruiting for a Head of Quality in Runcorn. This is a really exciting opportunity as you will be the 1st hire within Quality Control. The company I am working with specializes in inhalation and respiratory drugs, providing a great chance to get involved with one of the niches within pharmaceuticals. This is an important role for the business with 3 teams reporting to you: Quality Control, Raw Materials, and Microbiology. You will report to the Director of Quality, making this a great opportunity for an established Quality Control Manager to propel and develop their career even further.

Responsibilities for the Head of Quality Control

1. Lead the Quality Control Team and manage the daily operations within the Laboratory.
2. Develop, execute, and qualify the new QC Laboratory equipment and methods, Instrument Qualification, and Method Validation.
3. Raw Material analysis, Qualification, and in-coming goods compliance.
4. Analysis on finished products and batch release of these.
5. Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure any out of specification and deviations are actioned accordingly.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the business for ongoing projects and development.
7. Recruit, train, and develop the QC staff; an exciting part of this role is that you will build your team!

Experience & Qualifications required for the Head of Quality Control

1. BSc within a Scientific subject.
2. 10+ Years experience within Pharmaceutical Quality Control and 5 years of management.
3. Inhalation experience will be an advantage.
