MBR partners have been instructed to recruit an important hire in the evolution of the significant revolutionary trading platform that operates in the Institutional Digital asset custodian, exchange, and broking sector.

We are seeking a Head of QA who has trading and capital markets experience within enterprise and can lead the QA team into the future by providing leadership and engineering prowess to the very successful FCA regulated Exchange.

The successful applicant will also have worked in an environment where internal developers have built capital markets/trading software.

They will provide overarching leadership of the quality assurance function and ongoing project-based engineering work across the technology estate, including Nodejs and C++ applications. The team is growing but currently consists of 8 QA engineers, which is expected to grow over the next 12 months. Applicants will have a strong engineering background, be ambitious, bright, motivated, and have substantial experience in a highly technical role.

The business is regulated by the FCA and describes itself as a highly regulated fintech scale-up, so experience working in a rapidly evolving fluid company is vital, where you have to be prepared to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in where necessary.

The successful applicant must also have experience in a firm that has delivered products to external customers.

Responsibilities

1. Strategic leadership of the QA function including management of tools
2. Ensuring the construction and running of testing processes including UAT, regression testing, engaging with partner and client teams to ensure these are useful, productive, and run smoothly.
3. QA leadership of large, cross-functional projects either directly or via the QA team
4. Manage the Engineering QA team, including Lead QA
5. Build out a wider QA/Test team to work with Business systems, transformation, and others to improve QA practice.
6. Identify gaps in QA function and work with engineering and business leads to build a strategy to fill them
7. Work alongside the QA team to deliver testing inline with developer output.
8. Reporting key quality metrics to senior stakeholders
