The Role

As Head of Purchasing, you will take full ownership of the procurement function, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, supplier performance, stock availability, and team performance to support the business's ongoing success. This is a key leadership role, working closely with senior management to develop and implement an efficient purchasing strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute the company's purchasing strategy to ensure cost efficiency and product availability.
  2. Manage supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, contracts, and service levels.
  3. Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  4. Work closely with internal teams (sales, operations, finance) to align purchasing decisions with business objectives.
  5. Ensure stock availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  6. Lead and develop the purchasing team, driving performance and continuous improvement.
  7. Implement best practices in procurement processes and supplier management.
  8. Monitor and report on KPIs, including cost savings, stock turnover, and supplier compliance.
