Location: Hybrid - minimum 2 days per week in the Oxford office
Salary expectation: £68,000
This is a full-time role

The role:

  1. To create and implement a robust parliamentary and public affair strategy – ensuring that the voices of those being represented are heard at the highest levels.
  2. To play an active role in shaping and delivering the organisation’s strategic and operational priorities.
  3. To establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, Members of Parliament, and other key stakeholders to influence policy and practice.
  4. To position the organisation as a trusted partner to government and to key partners, fostering collaboration to build resilience and drive change.

The candidate:

  1. Experience and Leadership: A proven leader with significant experience in public affairs, policy, or external relations, ideally within the charity or government sectors.
  2. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive public affairs strategy aligned with organisational goals and external policy landscapes.
  3. Relationship Building: Strong ability to establish and maintain relationships with government, parliamentarians, and sector stakeholders.
  4. Influence and Advocacy: A track record of successfully influencing policy with tangible examples of achievements to point towards.
