Day Rate: From 600 via Umbrella Company
Working Pattern: Full Time (Minimum 3 days in the office)

Our client, a leading financial institution with a strong global presence, is seeking a dynamic Head of Product Control to join their Planning Department. What You'll Do:

• Daily P&L Reporting: Take charge of derivatives and securities business daily P&L reporting and balance sheet substantiation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior management, various front office teams, finance, and risk management to ensure seamless operations.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a team of 3 product controllers, ensuring performance management and talent development.
• Valuation & Reporting: Conduct daily valuations of the derivatives/securities portfolio and provide accurate reporting of Greeks and P&L.
• Process Improvement: Lead Product Control Projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and streamlining processes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Managing your time and workload effectively while overseeing your team's operations.
• Resolving portfolio discrepancies in collaboration with middle and back office groups.
• Conducting derivatives/securities pricing testing and validation (IPV).
• Analysing credit simulation results and determining expected exposures.
• Supporting treasury and front desk operations with valuation analyses.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in Financial Control or Product Control at a Group Manager level.
• Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in VBA and Excel to build various tools and valuation models.
• Solid accounting knowledge, including balance sheet substantiation, fee reconciliation, and cash reconciliation.
• A positive attitude towards mentoring and supporting team members to achieve shared goals.
