Head Of Procurement

We are currently working with a Housing Provider based across the South, who are looking to appoint a MCIPS qualified Head of Procurement on a fixed term basis for 12 months. This will be a full-time position which can be home based with travel required across the South for meetings once a month, and offers a salary of £75,000 to £80,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience acting as a point of contact for senior leadership. Experience within Social Housing is not essential but highly desirable.

Enable the strategic development of the organisation's procurement function through support, influence, and contribution to the strategic and operational performance of business-wide directorates, by promoting and driving commercial excellence through a highly effective procurement function. Embed a robust framework of performance (value for money), assurance (compliance), and continuous improvement (systems).

Role: Head Of Procurement

Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 Per Annum

Contract: 12 Month FTC

Working Type: Homeworking (1 day in the office per month)

Hours: Monday – Friday - 8:30AM – 5:00PM

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Leading the operating framework for the Group’s procurement activities, underpinned by a robust forward plan and implementation of a long-term strategy for all business areas.
• Providing specialist support and advice on Procurement issues across the Group, enabling the needs of the business to be met while ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines that comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and practices.
• Overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of procurement systems and technology to support procurement operations.
• Working in partnership with and leading cross-functional teams comprising of group-wide operational and management colleagues ensuring they’re fully equipped to deliver against operational targets.

Experience required:

• Experience in Social Housing is desirable.
• A background in Construction/General Indirect Categories.
