Head of Procurement

Procurement Heads are delighted to be working on a new Head of Procurement mandate, recruiting exclusively on behalf of a new financial services client in London.

We are looking to connect with senior procurement leaders, with proven experience in previously transforming procurement functions within a greenfield capacity.

The Head of Procurement will have a direct reporting line into Finance, with responsibility for leading and developing procurement strategy, processes, systems, governance and policies in line with best practice and regulatory requirements.This role will serve as the primary point of contact for both internal stakeholders and suppliers, supporting the procurement of products, goods, and services for use across the business (including c. £20m IT spend)

• Drive policies, governance, policy and best practices
• Define and execute the procurement strategy
• Lead on the implementation of category management
• Lead process improvement and systems across procurement
• Build strong successful relationships with senior stakeholders and suppliers
• Work in partnership with Third Party and Risk Management teams to minimise risk across procurement all activities

Qualifications/Experience

• Proven experience as a Head of Procurement / Procurement Transformation Lead
• Experience of working within the Banking / Financial Services sector
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organisational settings, balancing competing priorities using cost metrics, business needs, and risk assessments
• Extensive experience in managing relationships with outsourced service providers to ensure value, compliance, and quality
• Strong track record of delivering within a regulated environment, including implementing the necessary controls to meet regulatory expectations
