Job Description
This role is a unique opportunity to define procurement strategies, establish supplier partnerships, and ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing - all while driving Kerakoll's commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Strategy and Planning:
Lead the procurement strategy for Kerakoll's new plant setup, ensuring all materials and services are acquired on time and within budget.
Develop a procurement roadmap aligned with Kerakoll's strategic goals, establishing objectives for supplier partnerships and risk management. - Supplier Management:
Conduct regular visits to supplier facilities and build strong, collaborative relationships with key partners to uphold Kerakoll's standards.
Implement a supplier performance evaluation system, focusing on quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
Negotiate long-term contracts with suppliers to secure the best terms, pricing, and delivery schedules, while managing potential risks. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Operations, R&D, Finance, and Project Management teams to ensure alignment of procurement timelines with project milestones for seamless execution. - Compliance and Sustainability:
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to regulatory and environmental standards, and drive Kerakoll's sustainable procurement practices across the supply chain. - Budget and Financial Management:
Develop and manage the procurement budget, monitor costs, and leverage market insights to identify savings opportunities while controlling spending. - Digital Transformation:
Lead the adoption of digital procurement tools to enhance efficiency, transparency, and data-driven decision-making at Kerakoll. - Team Leadership and Development:
Mentor and develop the procurement team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture aligned with Kerakoll's values.
Conduct training sessions and monitor KPIs to ensure continuous improvement and effective procurement practices. - Risk Management:
Conduct risk assessments of critical suppliers and develop contingency plans to mitigate supply disruptions, ensuring business continuity for Kerakoll.
The Successful Applicant
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement management, ideally within new plant setups or large-scale projects.
- Expertise in supplier relationship management, market analysis, and budget control.
- Proficiency in digital procurement tools and analytics for strategic decision-making.
- Excellent negotiation skills and commitment to sustainable practices.
- Strong leadership skills and a record of team development.
