Our Client

Our client is an exceptional global business, a leading manufacturer of advanced materials for use in furniture, industrial, mobility, construction and medical & hygiene markets. In response to a recent drive towards significant business improvements in all areas, there now exists a significant opportunity for a strategic product portfolio leader to join the business, to reorganise and restructure in order to optimise the current product portfolio, improve, and grow, aiming to better serve customers and understand their needs. This is a strategic role, key to enabling the future growth of this client.

The Role

The Head of Portfolio Strategy & Optimisation is responsible for shaping and executing the group-wide product portfolio strategy, ensuring optimal product mix across multiple business units to maximize revenue, profitability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities include developing and implementing a portfolio strategy, optimizing the product portfolio, conducting recurring portfolio assessments, defining value-based pricing strategies, and ensuring sustainability and compliance.

The role requires close collaboration with various departments, leading on-site reviews, partnering with key customers, and eventually building and leading a team of BU portfolio managers.

To be successful in this role you will hold a Bachelor’s degree, a significant number of years of experience in product portfolio strategy and management, strong analytical and leadership skills, and proficiency in business analytics tools. A Master’s degree and experience in international business are desirable.
