You as part of tonies:

We are currently seeking a Head of Operations to lead the UK Operations team and play a pivotal role in shaping our operational strategy. As Head of Operations, you will develop and execute a resilient, scalable operations strategy to support rapid growth, overseeing the scale-up of our UK warehousing and fulfilment capabilities.

You will work closely with the global supply chain team to align production schedules and shipments with our local requirements, and the Director of Finance & Operations to propose solutions that drive efficiencies, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

You will achieve this through the operational management of transportation, warehousing, and order fulfilment and the continuous improvement and development of operational and commercial relationships with third-party warehouse/logistics providers and other partners.


Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Operations Leadership:Drive the strategic direction of the UK logistics and operations function to support our high-growth trajectory. Collaborate with senior leadership to address challenges, propose improvements, and proactively align operations with company goals.

  • End-to-End Logistics Optimisation:Lead the development of a comprehensive logistics solution that supports our customer-first approach and enhances fulfilment capabilities across inbound/outbound shipments, warehousing, and inventory management.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with global supply chain and procurement teams to align production schedules and shipments with UK requirements, ensuring streamlined, cost-effective logistics processes that meet customer demand.

  • Third-Party Management:Build and maintain resilient relationships with third-party logistics providers and partners, focusing on continuous improvement and development of operational and commercial relationships to meet and exceed KPIs.

  • Performance Analytics & Improvement:Analyse operational performance data to identify trends, optimise stock levels, enhance order fulfilment times, and propose actionable solutions to increase efficiency and drive cost management.

  • Scalability and Resilience:Establish robust contingency plans and escalate complex issues to senior leadership with well-considered solutions, ensuring the resilience of our logistics operations through fluctuating demands and market dynamics.

  • Customer Satisfaction & Quality Control:Define and oversee logistics standards to ensure exceptional fulfilment experiences. Evaluate customer satisfaction KPIs and refine processes to consistently exceed customer expectations.

  • Innovation & Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to innovate within logistics and fulfilment, leveraging insights and best practices to improve scalability, optimise lead times, and enhance the customer proposition.
