We’re not just moving materials – we’re moving an entire industry toward a greener future. Our state-of-the-art wash plants transform construction and demolition waste into valuable resources, supporting a circular economy and reducing landfill.

About the Role

As Head of Operations, you'll lead and shape the future of our Plant and Transport functions. With four direct reports – including our Transport Manager, two Plant Managers, and SHEQ Manager – you'll ensure our operations run efficiently, safely, and sustainably across both sites.

This is a pivotal, hands-on leadership role suited to someone with proven experience in operations within construction, quarrying, manufacturing, or waste management.

Resilient: We evolve through change to achieve success.

Integrity: We demonstrate transparency and honesty in all that we do.

Nurturing: We encourage each other, demonstrating togetherness and support for one another.

Teamwork: We work hard and go the extra mile for each other and our customers.

They are not just words, they are how we work every day. If you’re ready to take pride in your role, grow with a resilient team, and make a positive environmental impact, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Work closely with the SHEQ Manager to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of safety across all teams.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and regulatory changes to keep the company ahead of the curve in sustainable waste management.
  • Represent Brewster Brothers at industry events and seminars, promoting our brand and expertise.

Data, Reporting & IT Systems

  • Leverage IT systems to collect, analyse, and present operational data, ensuring evidence-based decision-making and transparency.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports on plant efficiency, transport logistics, costs, and productivity to senior management.
  • Implement technology-driven solutions to enhance reporting, tracking, and operational efficiency.

People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop teams across both departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Build strong relationships with operational staff, senior management, and external stakeholders such as contractors, customers, and regulatory bodies.
