Head of Operations - Faringdon - 9-day fortnight - up to £70,000

We are exclusively recruiting for a Head of Operations to join a medical device and pharmaceutical company in Oxfordshire. This is a great opportunity to join a company that has a diverse portfolio of medicines and medical devices. Although they have been trading for over 100 years, they have recently gone through acquisition with big plans to grow. As Head of Operations, you will be adding your management expertise to an already impressive senior leadership team.

You will be joining them at a pivotal time in their growth journey!

The roles and responsibilities:

1. You will make sure budgets and performance requirements are met.
2. Resolve technical manufacturing issues within a GMP manufacturing setting.
3. Provide operational and technical leadership and your expertise to the senior team.
4. Ensure operations are at their optimum reliability through equipment, facilities and processes.
5. Devise strategies for improvements.
6. Provide health and safety support across the company.
7. Review and update SOPs, change controls and deviations as well as risk assessments and approval of suppliers.
8. Responsible for defining strategic plans, both short and long term to deliver optimum results.
9. Motivate and drive positive behaviours and encourage teamwork.

The requirements:

1. You will have knowledge of medical device regulations such as ISO 13485, MDR and 21 CFR.
2. Experience working with regulated medical products is essential.
3. Ability to meet targets.
4. Project management and strong organizational skills.
5. Understanding of GMP principles and cleanroom operations.
6. Knowledge of quality management and previous experience working with a quality management system.

The package:

1. Salary - £65,000 - £70,000.
2. 25 days holidays plus bank holidays.
3. 4% pension contribution.
4. Working pattern is 9 day fortnight.
5. Friday finish at 1pm.
6. Every other Friday off.

Location:

The role of Head of Operations is based in Faringdon, Oxfordshire and is commutable from Oxford, Swindon, Abingdon and Cirencester.

Other job titles could be: Operations Manager, Operations Director, Manufacturing Director.
