Job Summary
Are you passionate about nursing leadership, patient safety, and clinical excellence in mental health?
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services at Parkview, in the mental health division of Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust, a service recently rated as 'Good' in all five domains by the CQC.
We are looking for a skilled and experienced nurse to lead our nursing workforce as Head of Nursing for Inpatient CAMHS, to join our senior leadership team, and to help take our ambitious service further forward. Our wards have been refurbished and have a high specification to meet the challenges of modern inpatient psychiatry.
The Head of Nursing will be highly visible and accessible to our patients, families, staff, and visitors, and focus on continuous improvement in the safety, care, and treatment for our children and young people.
Our divisional mental health services are moving this year to Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust. We are looking for a nurse leader who can support our services to make this a smooth transition.
Please contact Dan O'Mara, Associate Director of Nursing for CAMHS for an informal discussion about the job and the service, and if you would like to visit the site prior to the interview.
The Head of Nursing for Inpatient CAMHS at Parkview will provide nursing leadership and have professional responsibility for all nurses and nursing associate and support roles within the inpatient pathway of BWC Mental Health Services division, providing expert clinical and operational leadership on all issues relating to nursing, including professional standards and nursing resources.
