Head of Medical

Head of Medical required for our client, a globally recognised professional sports team. They require a Head of Medical to work within their women's team setup, delivering a high-quality medical service for the women's programme.

Head of Medical Responsibilities

1. Monitoring all aspects of player care including prehab, rehab, fitness assessments, and treatment.
2. Assess and analyse the clinical diagnosis for injured players.
3. Plan, implement, evaluate, treat and progress player care to maximise rehabilitation potential.
4. Produce daily and weekly player injury reports.
5. Organise the preseason screening programme.
6. Develop, implement and maintain appropriate clinical guidelines, ensuring clinical effectiveness to optimise player care.
7. Management of all women's medical staff including physiotherapist team and team doctors.
8. Managing all medical-related budgets, ensuring efficient and cost-effective utilisation of budget.
9. Work closely with Head of Women's team, Head Coach and Head of Athletic Performance.

Head of Medical Requirements

1. BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
2. Member of CSP and HPCP.
3. Sports specific emergency pitch-side training.
4. Experience working in an elite sports environment.
5. MSc in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy or Sports Science (Desirable).
6. REF PHICIS or World Rugby equivalent (Desirable).

Head of Medical Remuneration

1. Salary 40,000 - 45,000.
