Head of Marketing Delivery
Location: Bristol or Oxford, UK
Working Period: Full time, Permanent
Reports to: Global Marketing Director

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

The Head of Marketing Delivery will be hands on across multiple marketing disciplines and lead a team of 7 senior marketing professionals. This is a dynamic, high-impact role ideal for a strategic leader with a proven track record in team development, cross-functional marketing, and stakeholder engagement. As the Head of Marketing Delivery, you will oversee four core marketing functions — Social Media & Content, Property Mobilization & Integration, Website Content & Online Merchandising, and International Marketing & Source Market Strategy.

This role is central to the global marketing leadership team and will be instrumental in achieving our brand's growth and engagement goals in the student housing market. It’s a big job! You are a self-starter and are (relatively) autonomous, at least enough to work across multiple time zones and jurisdictions. Crucially you are passionate about and energized by new projects and creating growth and contributing to the success of the business.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior marketing professionals, fostering a high performance culture.
  • Implement clear goals, accountability frameworks, and professional growth plans to support the development of team members.
  • Build a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging creativity, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making.

Strategic Marketing Management:
Oversee and drive the strategy across four key areas:

  • Social Media & Content: Lead two absolute social media unicorns and support the development of a cohesive content strategy that builds brand awareness, engages prospective students, and enhances community involvement across digital platforms.
  • Property Mobilisation & Integration: Support two senior marketing mobilization experts. Assist in coordinating marketing efforts for new property launches, portfolio integrations and implementing brand standards across multiple brands whilst ensuring seamless alignment with on-the-ground teams.
  • Website Content & Online Merchandising: Share ownership of the digital customer experience, ensuring the website and online platforms are optimized for engagement, conversion, and international appeal.
  • International Marketing & Source Market Strategy: Design and implement region-specific marketing strategies to reach and attract international students across diverse markets.

Industry and Market Knowledge:

  • Stay abreast of trends and innovations in the student housing and broader real estate industry, translating insights into effective marketing strategies.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and consumer behavior to refine value propositions and marketing approaches, ensuring a competitive edge.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:

  • Engage daily with marketing leadership team for alignment on global output.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams—including property management, sales, and operations—to ensure consistent and integrated marketing communications across all touchpoints.
  • Act as one of the key liaisons between the marketing team and senior leadership, providing regular updates on marketing performance and strategic initiatives.

Organizational and Project Management:

  • Utilize exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines within a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Work closely with Head of Digital Acquisition and Marketing Insights & Strategy Lead to drive the marketing budget for the division.
  • Work with Marketing Insights & Strategy Lead to implement performance metrics and analytics to track, measure, and report on marketing effectiveness and impact.

Experience and Knowledge
Essential:

  • Marketing or Communication related degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Ability to manage a team of direct reports, including development, performance management etc.
  • Comfortable with client and senior stakeholder presentation and exposure.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and content marketing.
  • Ability to develop and manage campaigns that are culturally tailored and resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience in using analytics tools to measure and optimize campaign performance.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Be passionate about the details, do what it takes with momentum, resourcefulness, and a positive, go-getter attitude.
  • Must be able to multi-task, grasp complex concepts, collaborate with subject matter experts and ultimately present solutions effectively.
  • Ability and willingness to travel in the region.

Desirable:

  • First experience with budgeting.
  • Knowledge of strategy setting and owner relations.
