Job description

Our client is seeking a Head of Marketing to define, lead and deliver a comprehensive communication plan and integrated engagement strategy. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) can be based in Guernsey, Jersey or the Isle of Man. The successful candidate will play a key role in building awareness, creating engagement opportunities, driving customer and revenue growth, and enhancing brand positioning across the markets in which the business operates.

Job Duties:

  1. Lead the development and delivery of inspiring and impactful through-the-line marketing campaigns to drive awareness, create engagement, and support delivery of the consumer and business segment acquisition and revenue targets.
  2. Own the 12-month rolling calendar of marketing activity and its execution, ensuring all communications plans are consistent, sales-focused, and grow brand equity across all marketing channels including Digital, Social, CRM, and PR.
  3. Define brand strategy and a roadmap for driving brand differentiation and leadership across all business and consumer segments, and employer branding across all markets.
  4. Build a consistent branded experience across all internal and external communications touchpoints.
  5. Drive post-campaign evaluation of communications and implement learnings to optimise future campaigns.
  6. Oversee the strategic selection, management and performance of external creative, PR and digital agencies.
  7. Manage reactive and issues-based PR activity in partnership with senior stakeholders and PR agencies.
  8. Lead and develop the communications and marketing team across all markets.
  9. Manage the marketing communications budget and maximise return on investment.

Job Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5 years' marketing or communications experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role in a related sector.
  2. Good understanding of telecoms products across both consumer and business segments.
  3. Strong knowledge of commercial strategies and the ability to link them to marketing outcomes.
  4. Demonstrable experience in developing long-term brand and product marketing strategies.
  5. Proven track record in campaign management, evaluation and optimisation.
  6. Experience in leveraging digital communication channels and techniques.
  7. Proven ability to manage external creative agencies effectively.
  8. Experience in leading and motivating internal marketing teams across multiple locations.
  9. Tertiary qualification in marketing (desirable).
  10. Management qualifications or training, including self-development (desirable).
