BGI (Bright Group International) is a collection of nine companies, made up of a diverse variety of brands that service markets from AI, to legal, to manufacturing and with annual revenue is excess of £165M.

Born in Cardiff in 2007, but now with offices across the UK, USA and Middle East; the Group is a mixture of 16-year-old businesses and start-up brands, servicing SME & enterprise clients.

Due to planned rapid expansion, a brand new role for a creative and driven full-stack Head of Marketing / Marketing Director to come into the business and help shape the next stage of growth is required - reporting into the Chief Revenue Officer (who comes from a marketing background).

This role will be responsible for the entire marketing function in a complex group, with a diverse collection of brands at different levels of maturity.

The department is at the beginning of its new stage of growth; so will require someone who can think strategically but predominantly still be hands-on in the medium term.

There will be broader support within the Revenue department, of which this would sit, from an early-stage RevOps, Technology & Data function.

This is a hybrid role, plus occasional travel to other offices in the UK, New York & Dubai.

The ideal candidate will be based in Bristol or Cardiff, but we consider those based in London.


Purpose of the Role:
  1. Build & execute a marketing strategy for multiple brands
  2. Establish the next stage of the marketing function, within the wider Revenue department
  3. Support the growth of the Group, including established and start-up brands
  4. Enable & optimise revenue generation through marketing activity

Required Skills & Experience:
  1. Expert in digital marketing, strong in events, content and community
  2. Worked in a multi-brand group, or a business with multiple different audiences
  3. Has built / developed brands for technical or complex markets (technology, legal etc)
  4. Marketed to enterprise-level organisations
  5. Worked in a start up-like environment, or in a rapidly-growing business
  6. Built or led a multi-functional marketing team from the ground up

Ideal person:
  1. Success with ABM-led strategies
  2. Built an inbound revenue engine from scratch
  3. Wants to work in a growing business, where it isn’t all figured out
  4. Comfortable with strategic prioritisation, and zoning out the noise to work on what really matters
  5. Able to clearly articulate a vision
  6. Enjoys high levels of responsibility, accountability
  7. Demonstrated entrepreneurial flair
