Year after year, London's Pride celebrations bring people together in amazing ways. The connections and community we build lay the groundwork for a brighter, more inclusive future. Now's your opportunity to play a meaningful part as a Pride in London volunteer.

Pride in London is embracing a renewed sense of purpose that resonates with everyone. We stand as a beacon to highlight ongoing challenges within the LGBTQ+ community, even amidst progress. Our roots intertwine the protest origins of Pride with the spirit of celebration. Our guiding values – Visibility, Unity, and Equality – drive every step we take.

Our incredible team is a blend of passionate staff and volunteers who champion diversity, inclusivity, and understanding. We hail from diverse walks of life, forming a vibrant community of change-makers. Our ultimate goal? With a diverse and dedicated year-round team of around 150 volunteers, we orchestrate Pride in London, the incredible event that unites us all. Your unique voice can contribute to the symphony!

Pride in London stands committed to truly representing every facet of our community. We celebrate equality, diversity, and inclusion. Our focus is on enriching the diversity of our volunteers, ensuring that Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, Disabled, Trans, and all communities are vividly reflected within our teams.

The role:

The successful candidate will lead Pride in London's third annual Human Rights Forum, furthering our commitment to amplifying the global fight for LGBTQ+ rights and supporting LGBTQ+ people worldwide. This role comes at a crucial time when LGBTQ+ rights continue to face challenges globally. Your work will significantly impact our organisation and LGBTQ+ communities internationally, advancing Pride in London's mission and supporting LGBTQ+ individuals on both national and global scales. Building on the success of our previous forums, you'll play a key role in shaping this important platform for human rights advocacy and awareness.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Previous experience of working across various human rights issues.
  • A passion for LGBTQ+ human rights issues and how to address them.
  • Ability to create and maintain partnerships with multiple teams and stakeholders, including elected officials, policy makers, and the international LGBTQ+ community including activists, experts, and civil society.
  • Ability to lead innovative and creative approaches to advocacy.
  • Demonstrated appreciation of Pride in London's values and ambition of championing LGBTQ+ equality.

What you’ll get joining Pride in London:

  • A friendly and welcoming induction course and a variety of training offered throughout the year.
  • An opportunity to gain new and relevant professional experience.
  • A chance to broaden your professional network.
  • Play an important part in delivering the Pride in London event.
  • Social opportunities to meet the diverse and friendly bunch who volunteer for Pride in London.

Diversity & Inclusion

Our volunteer team is more than amazing – they inspire great ideas, generate needed sponsorship, drive forward our operational plans, and help make Pride in London a fantastic place to volunteer.

We endeavour to attract and recruit a diverse mix of volunteers who are representative of the diversity in our LGBT+ communities, which gives us a great opportunity to have access to a broad range of ideas and allows us to deliver an inclusive event that you expect from Pride in London.
